March 2009
1st March Sunday 11am - 5pm
Harp Essentials 2009: Technique for Harmony
One-day course for all abilities except complete beginners, offered in association with Alston Hall Lancashire Adult Learning at Alston Hall, Alston Lane, Longridge, Preston PR3 3BP
Tutor: Eira Lynn Jones. Welsh harpist will celebrate St David's Day by helping students develop harping skills through playing traditional Welsh music.
This is the 2nd of two separate days - see also our events diary page for Saturday 28th February 2009.
You can attend either or both one-day courses.
Both days are designed to help improve your playing through a fresh focus on technique. Each day will encourage you to explore and develop your knowledge of technique and learn/revise methods for practise.
Both days aim for you to experience, feel and hear how you can improve through playing new music together on the day and to take home - including solo and ensemble.
Adult and younger players are welcome to attend this course.
Harps North West provides a subsidy on this course for young players in full-time education who are Youth Members of Harps North West.
