Beginner Workshops
We organise tutor-led workshops for the absolute beginner with harps provided. You do not need to be a member to attend.
The aim is to give students an introduction to playing the harp. By the end of the workshop, students can expect to have learned some understanding of basic technique and an ability to play simple chords and some simple harp tunes.
Beginner Workshops are arranged for a group of students. A fee is charged. The fee includes harp provided.
Harps North West promotes these workshops for absolute beginners at a range of venues in Cumbria and Lancashire. During 2009 workshops were held at Over Kellet, near Carnforth, at Penrith and at Samlesbury near Preston. In previous years we have held workshops at Sedbergh, Burton-in-Kendal, Whitehaven and Keswick.
