Beginner Workshops
We organise tutor-led workshops for the absolute beginner with harps provided. You do not need to be a member to attend.
The aim is to give students an introduction to playing the harp. By the end of the workshop, students can expect to have learned some understanding of basic technique and an ability to play simple chords and some simple harp tunes.
Beginner Workshops are arranged for a group of about 10 students. A fee is charged. The fee includes harp provided.
Harps North West has promoted these workshops for absolute beginners at different venues in Cumbria. Workshops were held at Sedbergh, Burton-in-Kendal and Keswick last year and most recently in May 2008 at Whitehaven.
Workshops will be advertised on our website, in local newspapers and by poster and leaflets circulated by our members locally. See Events Calendar and News
